Isaiah 59:19 Provisions for Victory

Good morning Abba, Good morning Jesus, Good morning Holy Spirit,

So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west,
and His glory from the rising of the sun.
When the enemy shall come in like a flood,
the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59:19

Do you have those moments where the enemy (our thoughts) "rushes" in and tries to overcome the peace or the joy that you were enjoying?  Gosh, it can be so smothering... so quick... so consuming... if... you don't know the word of God.

...the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him!

The Holy Spirit, our comforter... our intercessor... our guide... our protection... gives us the "sword of truth," God's words to slay and bind our enemy.  Did you know that the most powerful of words from the Bible were spoken by our Lord Jesus as He faced the devil in the desert:
"It is written, 'One must not live on bread alone, but on every word of God."

With these words, "It is written..." we are proclaiming and reminding the devil and all of his demonic forces that God's word remains in power over them.  All evil must bow to the name of Jesus Christ, evil must flee as commanded by God's word, evil must remain blind in the presence of our Lord... the Holy Spirit... and all angels on assignment, and every evil knows that they will be cast into the lake of fire for all eternity.  Evil is only a deceiver, it can only create an illusion that will torment and cause confusion.  The word of God has full power to cast out, bind, destroy, and create a blindness upon any and all evil!

This means that not a one of God's sheep (that's you and I) will be defeated on a single score.  Our Lord and Savior has made provision for victory for all of His own.  Not even for a second...

... for it is written... that Spirit of Lord fights our battles for us!
