Mama Mary
The Blessed Mother of Christ Jesus
"Through Baptism the Father (Abba) of Jesus becomes our Father, and the mother (Mary) becomes our mother. This is why we can call upon God as our loving Father, and this is why we can call on Mary as our mother to pray for us with a mother's love."
Mitch Finley
Mary is co-redemptrix (with and together; associated with) and fully cooperative with God's plan of redemption by willingly becoming the Mother of God. Every Christmas there are nativity scenes, glorious songs are sung, and every parent/grandparent knows the "heavenly awe" of holding an infant while pondering God's blessing. When we painfully discover the agony and passion of the cross, we feel the "heart-shattering" pain for Mary as she watches the final suffering of God's son. When eternity is our blessed destination, we will all know the honor and the faithfulness of Mary, her desire for us to accept God's will for us. We will know of her motherly love. We will be filled with her motherly compassion, grace, and the truth of her Heavenly peace."Christ's preeminence 'beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins' (Colossians 1:13-14) is not usurped or equally shared with Mary. Mary's role is in reflecting her son's great love for humankind, sacrificing the human love she bears for him, for the love He and she have for all people.
Mary does all that she can for the redemption of (God's children) her children."
Anthony F. Chiffolo
While our Lord Jesus was on the cross, He proclaimed: "Here is your mother" (John 19: 26-27). No longer was Mary just His own mother; she was from that point the mother of all humankind... the spiritual mother of all persons... advocating and mediating for the well-being of all... leading each of us to a life of faith in her son. Her motherly love overflows abundantly with loving kindness while always pointing the way back to God, the true source of life (100 Names of Mary, Chiffolo, A.F.).
Mary's appearances continue to bring her messages of grace, peace, and redemption to the whole world (Chiffolo, A.F.). During an appearance in 1951, Mary proclaimed that: "It is the wish of the Father and the Son to send Me into the world in these times as the Co-redeptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate." Her messages are always hopeful, always pointing the world back to the need of redemption through her son Jesus.
God's will for us is to know Him, His son our Lord Jesus, and to accept and lean on the Holy Spirit as our guide and comforter. As sinners we are called to repentance of our sins (thoughts, words, and deeds). Once cleansed we are given the grace of forgiveness and can then resume our calling of living out God's will.
If you have not heard much about Mama Mary (other than at Christmas or Easter), begin learning about who she is. Learn about her messages to you, what do you hear? Find the offering of a mother's loving comfort. Honor her with thankfulness, for she was only a young girl whose heart said "Yes" to El Shadi (our creator; our Father who art in Heaven). Ponder her grace, her sacrifices, her faithfulness, and her desire to walk out God's will... for us.

"Know and understand well, you the most humble of my son, that I am the ever virgin Holy Mary, Mother of the True God for whom we live, of the Creator of all things, Lord of heaven and the earth. I wish that a temple be erected here quickly, so I may therein exhibit and give all my love, compassion, help, and protection, because I am your merciful mother, to you, and to all the inhabitants on this land and all the rest who love me, invoke and confide in me; listen there to their lamentations, and remedy all their miseries, afflictions and sorrows." Guadalupe, Mexico (1531)
In order to free men from the bondage to these heresies, those whom the merciful love of my most Holy Son has designated to effect the restoration, will need great strength of will, constancy, valor and confidence of the just. There will be occasions when all will seem lost and paralyzed. This then will be the happy beginning of the complete restoration.” Quito, Ecuador (1594)
"Penance! Penance! Penance! Pray to God for sinners." Lourdes, France (1856)
"I am the Queen of Heaven who prays for the conversion of sinners, and I wish you to do the same. You received Holy Communion this morning and that is good. But you must do more. Make a general confession and offer Communion for the conversion of sinners. If they do not convert and do penance, my Son will be obliged to punish them." Robinsonville, WI (1859)
"When you say the Rosary, say after each mystery: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need." Fatima, Portugal (1917)
"The world will have to drink the dregs of the chalice of divine wrath for their innumerable sins through which they have wounded the sacred heart of Jesus (Then she admonished them). Pray…pray much, especially for the conversion of sinners” Heede, Germany (1937)
Let all men return to the Cross! Only this can bring peace and tranquility...Repeat this after me. Do say this prayer in front of the Cross:
"In order that the world might know His anger, the Heavenly Father is preparing to inflict a great chastisement on all mankind. WIth my Son I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross, His Precious Blood, and beloved souls who console Him forming a cohort of victim souls. Prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices can soften the Father's anger. Akita, Japan (1973)
"She told me that her son will return to Earth soon and that our souls must be prepared for His arrival." Alphonsine: Nov. 29, 1981
"My child, you must pray, for the world is in a horrible way; people have turned from God and the love of my son, Jesus." Anathalie: Jan. 12, 1982
"People were her children, regardless of their beliefs. Pray the rosary as her children and they'd be awarded as all the others." Marie-Claire: March 25, 1982 [The Sorrowful Mysteries]
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father,
send now Your Spirit over the earth.
Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations,
that they may be preserved
from degeneration, disaster and war.
May the Lady of All Nations, who once was Mary,
be our Advocate. Amen."
"The walk to heaven is through a narrow road. It is not easy to get through. The road to Satan is wide. You will go fast, you will run because there are no obstacles."
"There isn't much time left for preparing for the Last Judgment. We must change our lives, renounce sin. Pray and prepare for our death and for the end of the world. We must prepare while there is still time. Those who do well will go to Heaven. If they do evil, they will condemn themselves with no hope of appeal. Do not lose time in doing good and praying. There is not much time and Jesus will come." Kibeho, Rwanda (1981)
Dear children! This evening I am especially asking you to venerate the Heart of my Son, Jesus. Make atonement for the wounds inflicted to the Heart of my Son. That Heart has been offended with all sorts of sin. Dear children! Let all the prayers you say in your homes in the evening be for the conversion of sinners, because the world is in great sin. Pray the rosary every evening. Dear children! Today I ask you to read the Bible in your homes every day and let it be in a visible place there, so that it always encourages you to read and pray. Dear children! You are not aware of the messages that God is sending to you through me. He is giving you great graces and you are not grasping them. Pray to the Holy Spirit for enlightenment. If you only knew the greatness of the graces God was giving you, you would pray without ceasing. Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina (1981)
My daughter, this Mother wants Her Words to be listened to and meditated upon. Believers, bless the Lord; People, glorify His Name, because He assures His Reward. May the hope in the Lord lift your spirits; His Greatness will reach you if your faith is complete. say this to all your brethren: Do not run from the Lord, go trustingly to Him. It is truly time to do so, since to go toward Christ and to love Him, is to learn humbly how to surrender to the Lord. Through love, His Truth will overcome. Meditate on it. San Nicolas, Argentina (1983)

The Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.
The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead,
the third day he arose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church,
the Communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting,
Amen.
Our Father
Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
Amen.
The Glory Prayer
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end,
Amen.
The Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, please forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
lead all souls to heaven,
especially those most in need of your mercy.
Amen
